Think about some things that may make you feel secure. Is it your job and income? That could change at any moment. Is it in your physical strength or abilities? One disease or an accident could mean that is taken away. Is it on your personal relationships? We know relationships can fall apart. If your sense of security is placed in anything temporal, then you can be setting yourself up for great disapointment when things don't work out like you expected. Where do we find security?  It is in our relationship with God. Maybe you say you don't believe in God, or have never opened the Bible before because you think it isn't relevant for today.  

 God can teach you what is true, and it doesn't matter what color of skin you have, how old you are, where you come from, whether your a man or a woman, how much money you have, whether you've gone to college or not, or even if you have believed in something else. What the Bible says can apply to every situation, every circumstance or any problem that could come up in your life.

The following pages are not some set of rules or tips to follow for a better life.  It is also not just applying a set of Bible verses to any given situation, like you would do with some kind of 10 step program to wholeness. Do you have an intimate relationship with God? How does this happen?
